It was a fun day at the beach. Perfect weather and awesome company. Sun’s up, not too hot. The air is salty, just right for your tan lines. Food is great. Your ideal daytrip beach get away.
But you know how much time it took us to get there? Almost 3 hours drive. Is it tiring? Yes! Are we doing it again? OH YEAH!
Thank you Lord for the patience. Patience to drive and wait. Especially today in our world where everything is instant.
Noodles. Gratification. Love life. Tan lines. Fortune.
We have a long list of instants. But I get you, those things are made to make things easier but it defeats the purpose of waiting. I once uttered when I was waiting for my LTO document “sana madali na lang maghintay”. But it’s not. Hear me out when I say that it’s never easy to wait but all of us have to do that and it’s better to do it and exercise patience because there are things that we can’t get in an instant.
No matter how tapak sa gas it doesn’t get any nearer.
No matter how agitated you are it doesn’t help you to get what you want.
Jump higher. Stride bigger. Cut the lines. Save more. Spend less. Etc
Point is, there are things that are meant to be viewed long term and made for you to cherish every step of the way, not rushed and not instant.
We can do that because God wants the best for us and God doesn’t want all things also in an instant. Yes He can heal you instantly and give you all you need. But there are a lot of things He doesn’t like in an instant.
Lifetime of Favor.
“For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
Psalms 30:5 ESV
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
Long view lenses of God its everlasting and God did the same he doesn’t want instants he wants lifetime for all of us.
Instant is good. Lifetime is way better.
